Lefty -- hear!! hear!!
Wolves will pose a greater "threat" to us. While they, like Dallas, are primarily perimeter shooting team, they do have a viable defense.
However, it's basically Kevin Garnett. Wally is easy to defend, as he is a set shooter, and we just need to let him dribble drive and shoot...that get him to start missing shots.
Shaq will eat Nestorovich alive.
Dallas has more weapons, but no defense.
Either way, we're headed to play San Antonio, then Sacramento before the NBA Finals. What a gauntlet we have to go through!!
And how about Kobe needing 43 points tonight to average 30 points for a season, and he gets 44.
lolol.
boy, I thought, after last night, he wasn't gonna get 43; but thanks to possibility of Portland losing, Phil played his starters as if it were an important game.
A healthy Kobe will seriously challenge Kareem's scoring record; but that's 10 years down the line.
Bring on them Wolves ---- the strategy is to fluster Wally right from the start of the ballgame; he's easy to fluster. Let Garnett get his 30 points 20 rebounds -- that's irrelevant.
Lakers in 5.

I think the Lakers will have a pretty easy time against MN.... but you better be worried about Sacramento and San Antonio... those teams are loaded with weapons.

Radiohead --- If the Lakers decide they willl play defense for all 4 quarters, rather than fall behind by 25 going into the 4th quarter before playing defense, the Lakers will win it all again.
Lakers beat Wolves in 5
Lakers beat Spurs in 6
Lakers beat Kings in 6
Lakers sweep whatever team comes out of the East, with TWO exceptions --- Philadelphia can win 2 games; Boston 1 game.
Naturally, I will be as red as a beet should the Lakers get eliminated by the Wolves. Remember, the last 3 years, Bulls beat the Lakers 5 out of 6 games (despite having the worst overall 3-year record out of any team)....so anything is possible.

That was then, this is now. Only team I think has a remote chance of beating the Lakers are the Kings, but in the end they will choke and Vladi will flop all over the place. I'm really looking forward to a LA vs Sac Conference Finals though!
