Canada Cup '87, Game #3
I was at that game at Copps Colliseum, had to scalp a ticket ($75 1987 bucks!) after finding it (not from Hamilton!), ..............guy sitting beside me, well his wife was in labour IN HOSPITAL, and he's at the game
it's before cell phones.............so he's gone to the pay phone between periods, twice
when Lemieux took that pass from Gretz and went roof-daddy, I turned to high five him and he was already headed up the stairs to the exit........funnier than all git out! best game I ever saw live, without doubt

I was at the game when Bertuzzi punched Moore in the back of the head. Was about 15 rows behind the Colorado bench .... there was food and drinks flying at their bench, the players were all turned around yelling at the crowd ... fights broke out in the stands ....I remember Brad May scoring our only 2 goals that game ( might have been his nicest goals ever! ), and causing fights / mocking the Avs goalie ( I wanna say Aebischer ) after each goal... one of the more eventful games ive been to

I was in Detroit the night Gretzky scored to tie Phil Espositos Goal scoring record.......the went on to Buffalo to actually break the record, but it was still pretty exciting.....

Pens score 2 SHG against the Bolts on the same PK last season. That's as exciting/memorable as it has gotten for me hockey wise. Football wise is a completely different story.

I was there when 57,000+ of us hung out in -20 Celsius temps for 8 hours watching two hockey games (and one crazy Streaker
) at 2003 Heritage Classic...that's a day I will never forget!
