    Check out this auction

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=27268

then check out the LA Times

and here is an excerpt from LA Times,

A fraudulent basketball, advertised on Ebay as the one Shaquille O'Neal used to score his 20,000th career point has drawn several bids, the latest for $514.

The seller proclaims, "Shaq left the ball behind and I wrestled [it] away from Rick Fox after a punch to his glass jaw." Below, it adds, "Please e-mail Gavin and Joe [Maloof] if you have any questions."

That is the dumbest thing I have ever seen in my life. They need to take that garbage off eBay.

I emailed the seller and gave him the above message late last night.

woke up today, and saw his message.

he said it was a joke, since the auction ends April 1st. And that bidders will not have to honor the bid.

by the way, did ya notice that most of the bidders have 1 rating?

    it's probably his aliases.

I sent a notice to Ebay's Fraud Protection Program.

Yeah I'm sure that the bidders won't have to honor the bid. He's just doing this to take advantage of some person who doesn't know better.

People like this make me sick.

Yes, why did he put it up in the first place? I noticed the same thing, I think it's his aliases, too. What a jerk and a scammer to try to do that to someone who doesn't realize.

It's all a joke and if you look at the pictures and the description, you can tell this easily. The joke will be on him though once he has to pay for the final eBay fees.

I am so tempted to go to a public computer at the library, log on with an Ebay alias, and bid $5000 (that's right, $5000).

Let's see his face when he notices how much he has to pay in fees.

Someone stop me from being so evil!!

    lol

Go for it... if people want to be so dumb as to do something like this, then they deserve to be ™™™™ted on by the eBay community!

If you bid 5000, the bid before you would have to be at least 4,900 because of the bid increment,

But that would be awsome!!!!! people like that can lick my left.....
