    Hasek considering NHL return?

    http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=396927
Reports from various publications in the Czech Republic are circulating that 47-year-old netminder Dominik Hasek is indeed eyeing a return to the NHL after a four-year sbsence.

According to Czech newspaper Denik Sport, Detroit or Tampa Bay are among teams that might come into play.

Hasek's son Michal is a student at Michigan State University and while the former Vezina Trophy winner visited him in the United States, he reportedly met with the managers of a few NHL clubs.

yea, be cool to see him back. but i dunno, maybe he does good. i'd say 50/50 on this one. he will either do great or do very badly. Best of luck to hasek on whatever he decides to do. I had a great time watching him play.

He is probably watching Brodeur still working his magic...and inspired, but doubt he could recapture his mojo after riding the couch...would be cool if he could though, he is fun to watch.

I would love to see him comeback as he to me was one of the best in the net bar none. The problem to me is his style (acrobatic). Being older one cannot play harder but smarter to last a whole season. If my memory serves he was having groin problems as the season wore on when Ottawa had him between the pipes. Whatever he decides I wsh him the best as.

As mentioned by mooneyes I bet he watching Brody and still thinking he should be in between teh net.

He's too old, IMO. I do think he can be a decent backup, but that's probably it. We'll see.

I think he'd be fine in a backup role with maybe 20-25 games. Couldn't be any worse than Dwayne Roloson for Tampa right?

If he plays, I think Tampa would be a very strong fit for him. Tokarski could potentially come up if ready, or if they acquire a younger goalie, it could be a good person to have in there as far as experience.

Wouldn't mind seeing him back up Howard for the Wings.

i'd root for him to do well out of respect and for the sake of a cool story...but it would be a shame to see a great player like him come back and embarras himself.
