Collation question for O-Pee-Chee

I'm planning to build to build the 2012-13 O-Pee-Chee base set and I know it will take a few boxes at least. I'm looking for some advice from some case-breakers. Would it be best to buy 3 or 4 boxes at the same time that are likely from the same case or buy 2 now and then wait a few weeks and buy another 2 that would likely come from a different case. Any thoughts appreciated.

It, of course, depends... what is your plan for the inserts? Where will you be busting?

If you want better collation on inserts, I'd recommend sticking with the same case. Historically, the collation is pretty good with OPC and you won't double up on too many. If you aren't looking for the master set, then it won't matter one way or the other.

If you are busting at the shop you buy, I'd play it by ear. Try to increase your odds at a case hit. If you open a box and don't get one, open another from the same case. If you open a box and get one, go with your gut. If you're buying online, I'd try to buy all at once. It increases your odds at a case hit and they will usually give you a shipping discount (have to wait for product discounts).

Thanks for the advice. I'm ordering online so I'm going to go with ordering all at once. I'm mostly focused on building the set, but the idea of a case hit it pretty sweet too. If I get anything good I'll be sure post the break.

Buy two boxes. Trade for everything you don't pull.

I broke a case of 2011-12 and end up with

2 complete base sets (1to 500)
One set of marque rookies and legends 501 to 600
One complete set of all the insets except quads and the In Action

I had no doubles of the Retros, Rainbows or the Blacks/100
