2003-04 topps finest refractor set
What is a good buying price for the entire base refractor set (#ed/250)? What about the gold set (#ed/25)?
I ask because I am about to make an offer for this set and I am not sure where to start. Yes, I realize that the question is what is it worth to me, but that value is, in part, determined by the market value of same. Assume the cards are ungraded and all in mint condition (not necessarily gem mint).
Also, if any of you happen to have any of the golds or (especially) the 1 of 1 xfractors from this set and are willing to part with them, please let me know!

Finest is an expensive product to crack (about $95 U.S.) but most of the jsy refractors can be picked up for $4-5 Canadian (about $3.75 U.S.) as I am also collecting 03-04 Finest. Considering there are 100 base card refractors, about 35 of which are jersey refractors here is how I might break it down.
Common/star base ref - $1 X approx. 50 = $50
superstar base ref(non jsy) - approx. 15 = $2ea. rough sale value = $30
common jsy ref - approx. sale value $3 each x 30 = $90
supersstar jsy ref - approx. sale value $5 each X 5 (Shaq, Garnett, Duncan, ..) = $25
If you add all these up it comes to $195 but sets generally sell less than thecombined indiviidual values so I would say around $130

Are we talking about the same set? When you refer to the base set, are you referring to the cards numbered to 250 or the cards numbered to 999? The 999 are not refractors, really. They are just foil, I think. Am I missing something (I usually am!)? Also, I thought there were about 170 cards to this set? Anyway -- thanks fot the reply, although I must say that I am now totally confused. However, if anyone has the entire set (#ed/250) and wants to sell it, I will pay double what was just analyzed and give $300 for it.

Sorry to confuse you I meant the refractors/250. I know the base set is out of 100 but I am not sure about the refractor set.
