If he's a puppet, who is the puppet master?

Grover Norquist or whatever his name is. A guy with no power whatsoever got now many people to sign his no new taxes pledge? If he really was a nobody everyone would have told him to to pound sand. Instead they did what he told them.

The far-right. I guess if you wanted to go into individuals, people like the Koch Brothers, pretty much every talk radio host (conservatives have dominated the airwaves for years), Grover Norquist and his ridiculous tax pledge, so on and so forth.

There's a great book out there that describes the polarization of the parties and the gap that now exists. It's called It's Even Worse Than it Looks: How the American Constitutional System Collided with the New Politics of Extremism. It was written by two guys, Norman Ornstein (a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute) and Thomas Mann (a fellow at the Brookings Institute), who have been congressional scholars for a long time. Their conclusion is that while the left has drifted further left, the right has tacked hard to the right over the past 30 or so years.

Hmm, seems I'm not the only one who realizes Norquist can't possibly be a nobody in the party.

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your party secrets are coming out. Better think up a lie quick!
