Mississippi State has quietly been one of the best stories in the NCAA this year, with their first 7-0 start in decades. Currently sitting at #11 in the BCS, they are very well rounded. Their quarterback, Tyler Russell, has 15 TD's on the year to only one pick, and RB LaDarius Perkins has scored at least one TD in every game this season. Their defense is currently ranked #9, including wins over struggling powers Auburn and Tennessee.

They go to Tuscaloosa, to take on the #1 team in the land, the Alabama Crimson Tide. Where to begin? QB A.J. McCarron has yet to throw an INT, and has 16 TDs on the year through the air. Six WRs have multiple TDs. Both starting running backs have at least 565 yards and 6 TDs. Sounds daunting enough, until you look across the ball at the #1 ranked defense in the NCAA. Their closest win was by 19, and they have crushed all other opponents, including a 27-point win over then-#8 Michigan, a 52-0 drubbing of Arkansas, and huge wins on the road at Missouri and Tennessee.

Good luck to all this week, as we have had 8 different winners over the 8 week contest thus far!
