What should I do?
I have about 70,000 cards that are just commons from 1988-2005 of baseketball, football, and baseball. My wife wants them out. I don't want to just throw them anyway but their are ALL commons and no one is probably going to buy them. Any suggestions?

some will some wont... it depends if the hospital has already had some donated... i know around two christmas' ago i donated a few thousand to the riley childrens hospital in Indianapolis Indiana and they were happy to have them to give to the kids... just call around and ask

I would love to take those cards off your hands if I lived close by and had the room for them. But since I don't, here's a couple of suggestions.
Suggestion 1: Put them on www.craigslist.org as a "free stuff" classified ad. This is a pretty popular site. Click on a city close to you from the list of cities on the right, click "post to classifieds" at the top left, then click the category "free stuff". Then hopefully someone in your area will happily come along and take that cardboard gold off your hands.
Suggestion 2: I checked out your facebook profile--very nice. Perhaps you could give the cards away as a bonus of your radio station's contests or as a charity fundraiser in connection with the organizations you are affiliated with. Or advertise free cards in your facebook profile, radio station's website, etc.

if you have the time you can organize them into base sets and just get rid of them on eBay as set fillers/starter sets. Someone will buy them.
I looked into the tax write off thing with my brother in law. He`s a CPA and it really isn`t worth it because I already write off the max I can without being questioned by the IRS/Taxman. Everyone pretty much uses the maximum write off as it is(ie: clothing donations, work shoes, toys for tots, etc..). If you really don`t want to bother with listing them on eBay and don`t care if you don`t get anything for them(monetarily speaking), then hand them out at Halloween in packs of 500 or 1000 cards.
