Derrick Favors NT RPA
Hello all,
I am interested in buying a Derrick Favors NT RPA on eBay. It is a sweet patch, 4 color, /99. I can get it for $375 but not less. I can't really afford boxes of NT. This is the card I would want from that set.
I would be purchasing it mainly as an investment. Do these cards usually hold or increase their value in the future if a player does well? Let's say Utah gets rid of Millsap or Jefferson and Favors starts and becomes an All-Star. What does the card become worth in a couple years? I think Favors may be the next Dwight Howard so I'm trying to get in before this cards is out of my price range but am conflicted because 375 seems pretty steep.
Any advice?

375 isnt cheap thats for sure, these have been selling for 300-350 lately. It also depends on how much $375 means to you, if you had to save 5 months to be able to spend that kind of cash i would think twice about throwing it all towards one card. I have had a hard look at getting that same card for DeMarcus Cousins, but i just cant bring myself to spend $500 (which is a lot of money in my budget) on it.
You should also consider, if its an investment, how long you are willing to wait. Sometimes it can take up to 2-3 years before a player finally lives up to his potential and his stuff starts to rise in value. But Favors is definitely an interesting player with lots of potential, i have traded for some of his stuff myself so im also rooting for him to become a great player.
But you should always consider the possibility when "investing" in a player that you could end up losing value as well, if you are ok with that, you really like the card and have the budget its certainly the best Favors rookie to get!
