It's not like the guy needs the money either. Ever seen Papa John Schnatter's house?

As much as I despise the republican party and everything they stand for I'm going to have to see if there is a little cesear's in the metro atlanta area.

    Sorry.

or tax write-offs. Giving back to the people who work for him in the form of health care (healthy employees are beneficial to a business, you know) is just too much though.

Well, he does give them JOBS. They are always free to leave if they can find a better one.

Right like it's just sooo easy to pick up and switch jobs in this economy.

This is simply my opinion: If you work at Papa Johns, you shouldn't have health insurance given to you, you'd be better off just raising the salary of employees. Also, the appealing to emotion going on in this thread I saw in a few posts doesn't work on me.

In this economy, people can't switch jobs, but can expect health care working at a Papa Johns (just using that as the example based on the thread)? But the economy is in such bad shape, you just said as much essentially, right?

Yes. The economy is so terrible that employers don't have the resources to create new jobs, so we should saddle them with an additional substantial financial burden.

So let me get this straight. The republicans feel that they are entitled to business tax cuts but don't dare ask them to take care of the employees who are keeping these business afloat. Thanks for clearing that up for us.

Yes. We should give money to business owners and just trust them to hire people even though there is no extra business because no one has any money except them. Imagine giving health care to employees so they can be more productive and not go bankrupt when they get sick or injured. Imagine putting some extra money in the pockets of people and the peace of mind to spend it. And then expecting business owners to hire simply because there is more business. Unimaginable!

To lay people off and then blame it on Obama is just another partisan play by Republican supporters.
