Suns waive a good player...sign a good player

suns waived Jim Jackson (i know sounds stupid) so he could go and play for another team and also bring in some room for a Pg which they signed don't know his name...then they signed forward TIM THOMAS...he could be in suns uniform by as early as tomorow...i am excited about the trade we could use some more speed and highth...with Kurt Thomas out and Amare they made the right move when getting rid of a sg which they have alot of and Got a 6-10 forward that runs the flour well rebounds and is a decent shooter...i am very excited about these moves...good job suns

How come Jim Jackson was not getting any playing time? I thought he was pretty clutch the last year or so. I still think JJ can fill it up, and I'm sure someone will pick hi up.

Tim Thomas=Tracy McGrady without any heart
I also am a Suns fan so I hope Thomas actualy tries (it must be difficult to get up for something like a basketball game when your only being paid millions of dollars to do it...I feel his pain. But back to what I said before, I hope he plays and if he plays hard he can benefit the team

One teams loss is anothers gain. Suns are giving up on a good shooter.

I could not agree more. I loaded up on Tim Thomas RCs when he came out of college early. Dude has so much talent. But he sleepwalks thru the game a lot. He plays like a scrub more than he should. Get in his head, and he's gone for the rest of the game.

renegade: see the thing is with...
Nash, Eddie House, Barbosa, James Jones and shawn marion shooting is not where they lacked...
they needed some more guys to help marion and diaw while amare and kurt thomas are out...so if tim can perform well and hopefully pat Burke will step up like he did the other night with 12points...
i think the suns made the right move

As a Knicks fan (well, former Knicks fan until Isiah gets fired or dies), I too was once hopeful that Tim Thomas would help my team. Thomas will have some very good games, and then revert back to his former self. That said, I hope he does well because I love watching the Suns play. Unfortunately, I think if the Suns wanted Thomas to really, truly help them, they should have made him play for the Mavs or Spurs.

Looks like the Lakers dropped Slava Medvenko and signed JJ today! Sweet...this could be a great pick-up for the Lakeshow.

I like this move by the Lakers too.
Does it make them a contender? No.
Does it make them better & is he a good fit? Yes.
