    Could Bird dunk?

    I got a bet going on here about the ability of Latty Bird dunking. Anyone know if he ever dunked in a game??

    Well, his standing reach is 9'1" and his verticle is 28" giving him a max height of 11'5" so I'd say sure he can dunk. Never was an NBA fan when I was young though so I can't say I've ever seen it.

    yes, I've seen Bird dunk vs. my Lakers....but I don't have videotape proof.


    Bird was like 6'9" ... how many athletes that tall are unable to dunk? (assuming you were healthy, and don't have Achilles problems, etc)

    yes i seen him dunk a couple of times bird thought the dunk was a little disrespectful to the other team and only did it if he was fired up pissed off to prove a point but yes he could dunk
