my girlfriend took over the ebay store -- she's more excited about cards than I am, and infinitely more patient to deal with low ball bids and silly ebayers. Watch her absolutely crush it on there lol, hope she does

Purchased an Auston Matthews YG off eBay last week. Probably should have not bid on it when there is only a scan of the front of the card, but I decided to anyways against my better judgement. But it was being sold as new from package and NR-MT.
Card arrived last night in a one touch case and packed well. As soon as I pulled it out of the envelope I looked at it and showed my wife (who doesn't collect but looks through cards with me all the time). I said "so what you think of this one" she says right away that the edges aren't straight and then when we flipped the card over we noticed the back corner was dinged. Not horrible, but definitely noticeable with the naked eye... and no way I would send this card for grading and get anything decent on it. Sigh...
There is no way this could have happened in shipping with it being in a one touch which was taped shut and then bubble wrapped.
Am I being too picky about my cards in what I think is NR-MT? Spending over $200 on a card I do expect the thing to be in the condition stated, but maybe I have too high of expectations of card conditions.
Could be an honest mistake as seller had good feedback, so I'm not going to say their seller ID as it could be a mistake or who knows what. I guess I'm spending the $15 to send it back and get the rest of my money back. Lesson learned...Last edited by richardb; 12-13-2017 at 02:43 PM.

Send it back. The seller has to pay the return shipping, not you. Start a case through eBay and ask for a return. If they refuse the return you'll get your money back anyways.

Shouldn't you have been able to see that from the front of the card?

@rydlar99 You would think so but no. It's an interesting dent and its almost like its only dented on the back side of the card. From the front it looks okay, just not completely square.

Will do. Submitted a return request. Probably just end up buying this card locally and paying a bit more so I can see it first.
I've had this a couple times with .99 cent cards and said not worth my time, but this is the first time I've had this in my years of eBay. Pretty disappointing but that's life.

Attention all EBAY sellers. I highly recommend blocking this ID right away.
repatch_cup_rpa_sold_by_duma_swaitek2x_since_2005-06
They are also on ebay with ID 26storm and on this site as TDMAK. They are very unreasonable and make false paypal claims. they left me a negative full of lies, that I can prove are lies if anyone cares. Just not worth dealing with. Take my word for it! They are banned from other forums too. I'll get the negative removed by ebay, but just block them to avoid headaches! PM me if you want more info.

Had an issue about 2 weeks ago with him. They complained about the condition of the back of the card, and I couldn't disprove it since I didn't have any scans of the back (there could have been issues with the condition). I offered a partial refund to avert any issues.
I recommend if you do sell to him, ensure you have scans of everything, and only ship with tracking.
