    Fenway Park Dirt Customs

I find it nice to pull back from the hobby every once in a while. It helps to keep me from getting bored with creating cards and collecting signatures. Thanks for the well wishes above!

I hadn't made a new card design in months. Seems like forever ago that I worked on something new. So, this week I started looking through my collection and found some of the little packets of red dirt from Fenway that the Red Sox send to you when you request a fan pack. I thought it would be cool to make a set that incorporated the dirt into the cards. I'm putting together a 10 card set featuring stars and HOFers that played for the Sox utilizing the Fenway dirt. Here's the first finished card:

Ted Williams is my next one. Should be a fun set! Feels good to be creating again!

Nice! I'm been half-heartedly trying to come up with something similar for the Cubs for months that incorporates a leaf of ivy from Wrigley Field. "Ivy Icons" or "Icons of the Ivy" or something like that. With the season winding down, maybe I'll put a little more focus on that.

What kind of paper and glue do you use on customs? I think I am ready to get into custom making.

Take a look at the tutorial I did a while back. I'm still using the same materials.
