There are a handful of players on this yearís Team Canada roster who would likely be in the NHL if the league and the NHLPA werenít locked in a senseless labor dispute. While forwards Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Jonathan Huberdeau and Mark Scheifele have been receiving most of the press, there is a strong possibility defenseman Dougie Hamilton would be playing in the big league this season as well.

Instead, Hamilton has been a steady force on Canada's backend and his opening goal versus the Russians helped the team go undefeated in the round robin.
