Didn't see that coming, but Cole has been pretty dissapointing this year.
Now trade Gionta for Koivu.Last edited by Captain Habtastic; 02-26-2013 at 07:25 PM.

Not quite as important/valuable as those Flyers fans who have their Gagne stuff back, but this is the coolest! Ryder was one of my favourite players during his original stint in Montreal.

Well, Cole said he was going to retire soon after the new CBA was signed, so good move by the Canadiens.. ; )
It's a pretty lateral move though, Cole hasn't clicked with Desharnais and MaxPac like last season. Hopefully, Ryder can get Desharnais back on track.
Apparently, the Habs get a pick too.

As a Bruins fan, I think this is a very good trade for the Canadiens.

Cole has lost a step. The last couple of Habs games, he is easily being chased down by the back-check. He just does not seem to be able to find open ice when his team has the pressure on like he used to. I cannot help but think that his serious neck injury is always in the back of his mind haunting him and still hampering him psychologically from going at full tilt.
