wickabee, against human nature= immoral against God = sin

So jumping out of an airplane, which goes against human anture, is a sin?

Alex, you're finding out it's basically impossible to avoid sin. Good for you! Next you can move on to the second lesson in Christianity.

To answer my own question, of course abortion is a bigger issue in God's eyes. If you commit any act of sexual immorality, such as homosexuality, fornication, adultry, lust you can go to God for forgivness and as long as no diseases were spread everyone lives. When you have an abortion an innocent baby is killed. Also oddly enough the same person who told me the other day that I will be judged by God as a gay person for supporting gay rights told me that homosexuality is a bigger sin than abortion is.

Sin is sin. Intent and motive are the only thongs that can make a sin "worse" than another.

against god = sin, when did He say we couldn't jump out of an airplane?

so no it would be immoral, why? when you risk your life, you are affecting the lives of your loved ones with no thought of them. (if you had to jump cause the plane was going down, that would be different) caring only for yourself, is immoral.

veggie, that person is very, very wrong

You said against human nature. It's against our nature to jump out of planes or off cliffs, even with a parachute, so skydiving is a sin.

I want any and every theist to answer whether or not the following are immoral or sins:

#1 Premarital sex....AKA Fornication? (Why does god care if we have sex before signing a piece of paper?)

#2 Coveting? Yes, I know that this one is part of the ten commandments, however....consider your wife/gf/lover/whatever, how did you fall in love with this person? How did this happen? Did you not covet? Did you not desire this person before she/he was yours?

#3 Drinking/smoking/other stimulant drugs? Depending on the denomination which you are in (This applies to christians) they may or may not allow it.....I find it curious how certain christians can say "yeah this is OK" while others say "no, it's not Ok".....but supposedly they are both the same?

#4 Masturbating? Most christians say this is not OK....but why? Let's say that I'm a 16 year old faithful christian, I have decided to wait until I get married to have sex, I don't watch porn (cuz, that's also immoral ), and I follow the bible. But I'm also an imperfect human and occasionally I get strong carnal desires.....what's wrong with doing something that is perfectly natural? Why is this immoral?

#5 Sex positions while being married? So, I guess Anal sex is out right? I mean, this would be the biggest hypocritical sex act considering the bible's views on homosexuality. Sorry Christians but if you want to be "righteous", you can't have anal sex with your wife!

So What about Oral Sex? God did not make our sexual organs to be used that way, right?

What about other positions? I don't want to get too graphic on here so I'll let your imagination fill in the blank.

I would really love to hear what you guys think.....because even when I was a christian I would have these thoughts and it was difficult to make sense of them.

I will take a stab and this is my beliefs
1.Pre marital loving guilty many times over

2.Covet I desire them all before thats why I chased them. But my current wife did give me a good run

    3.don't smoke,never did a drug,chew tobacco(bad thing) and drink occasionally my 20's are gone

4.Masturbation ha ha I am married for 10 years and have interent WHAT DO YOU THINK

5.se positions yep do em all love em all you have to come home thru the backdoor once in a while.

All this and i still believe there is a god of sorts not because a book or church tells me just because thats what I want to believe. Many will differ

Both are equal in God's eyes.

    Abortion is killing the innocent:
Proverbs 6:16-17 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood.

Abortion doctors get paid to kill the innocent:
Deuteronomy 27:25 says, "Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person.

    Homosexuality:
Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Alcohol/marajuana/caffine all guilty in the past but no longer do any of them

Without putting to much of my personal business out there guilty

I'm not a big fan of anal sex but to each his own. And yes without getting graphic I am guilty of trying different sex positions.

My point is all of us are guilty of some form of sin weather we want to admit it or not. You want to ask God for forgiveness of your past sins. That being said all of the formentioned sins that I committed were between me and another consenting adult. No one was murdered because of my sins.

    Wait, wait, wait...

According to the christian religion, is it not a sin to even have sex unless it's for procreation?

So if having recreational sex is a sin....are you guys not purposely sinning?

This might seem strict and unfair, but that's basically what christians tell homosexuals....

You are not allowed to have ANY sex whatsoever because it's a sin.

But at the same time you guys are ignoring your own rules!.....You are NOT allowed to have ANY sex unless it's for procreation purposes.
