I am totally against killing any animal for any reason except for self defense. You have to right to practice any religion you like or none at all. However your right to freedom of religion stops when it infringes on someone else's rights.

Does that apply to mosquitos, ants and rats too?

Thank God I never been close enough to a rat to have to kill one. To be honest I don't think that I could.

Like the right to abortion, which American women currently have. You just made your double standard.
    Thank you and goodnight.

When rats are close to the size of a small house cat, then you will have to make the ultimate animal decision of "fight or flight". I have been in that rat predicament a few times in my life.

So killing someone not in self defense is a right?

Why would you have to kill one if you were close to it? And how do you treat the mosquitos, do you just shoo them away?

If my life/safety were in danger than yes. I also try to shoo insects away first if outside. If I catch one in my house I will kill it because they spread diseases which in turn endanger my health.

Don't confuse indoctrination with linear or logical thought. The "I was raised this way", holds no water in constructive debate.

and what about the millions that were not raised that way, but chose to follow a certain religion as an adult?

and who said "I was raised that way" besides you?
