Mike Brown back to Cleveland
CLEVELAND (AP) -- The Cavaliers intend to speak with former coach Mike Brown about returning to the team.
Brown was fired by Cleveland three years ago and replaced by Byron Scott, who was let go by the Cavs on Thursday after he went 64-166 in three seasons - one of the worst stretches in team history. Brown coached the Cavs for five seasons, taking them to the NBA finals in 2007 and winning 61 games in his final year before the team decided not to bring him back and hired Scott.
Cavaliers general manager Chris Grant said the team's next coach will be defensive-minded, successful, ''a teacher, a grinder.'' Those words describe Brown, who was fired by the Los Angeles Lakers after five games this season.
Brown left Cleveland on good terms, and long before Scott was dismissed, he had decided to move his family back to the area.

What a joke. If I am Brown, I would not take the job back unless they pay me a ridicoulous amoiunt of guaranteed money. He got fired after having winning seasons. It is not his fault that their all stra player decided to leave the team.

What was the point of even firing him in the first place?
Drug and smoke free trading.

Hahaha and people wonder why LeBron left the Cavs. This move just sums it up, that Gilbert dude is just a joke. Firing Mike Brown in the first place was rediculous, but firing Byron Scott is equally stupid. Irving and Waiters missed a lot of games due to injury this season, and their only good veteran Anderson Varejao has been injured all season. So how can you blame a coach for a bad record when your roster is basically filled with unproven young talent and the 3 best players missing a ton of games?
Outside of getting some quality players through the draft the last 2 years they havent added one good player through trades or free-agent signings. I would suggest some management changes, think that would be a lot more usefull than keep firing quality coaches with NBA Finals experience!
