A great game with a very disappointing finish. Couldn't believe it came down to an error like that. Blues take the early lead.

I was floored seeing St Louis defend their lead so well for that long, only to let in a (defensively, I'm not faulting Elliot) really weak one.
I'm glad the Blues pulled it out, just because I thought they deserved to win in regulation but for one let down. A GWG like that is as much a part of the game as one let down putting the whole game in jeopardy.

Reminds me of Ty Conklin in the 2006 finals (and swap out Alex Steen with Rod Brind'Amour).

After watching last nights game I would honestly be surprised if this series was over before the seventh game.

Poor St.Louis, cannot hold a lead. I think when your franchise has never won a mug this does something to your psyche. They have no final success in St.Louis, no template for consistent winning.

When you finally win a Stanley Cup, your franchise will always be able to draw something from that past success, in the case of the Blues, only losing. They should have won that game last night, but something was lacking, and I saw the biggest lacking coming from Backes. The guy simply cannot finish. He has had more incredible in-close chances that go begging because he obviously cannot finish.
