The ABC's of Hockey History - Discussion and Debate

During my long drives to work (35 minutes), it give me time to think about, well... {insert adjective here}.


Anyhow, I was thinking this morning about the following question. If I had to tell someone the ABC's of Hockey History, what 1 thing could I tell them for each letter about the rich history of Hockey?

Now, it doesn't have to be all players, it can be lines, it can be teams, events, etc. (I have started with 3 letters: G, M, S)

Z - Zalapski, Zombo, Zmolek etc - The guys at the back of the bus, on the ice were at the back of the bus.

B - Are the Bob's, & Bobby's - Orr, Hull, Baun, Rousseau, Plager, Gainey, Cole, Johnson it could just be Bobby Orr though, the greatest player to ever play the game. Also could be for Boston.


C - Clarence Campbell. Did more to grow the NHL than any other individual


E - Expansion - We needed it, and now we have too much of it.


H - Harold Ballard.


M - The "M" Miracle is an American thing. 95% of Hockey Fans in Canada have never seen that movie that followed. It's just not relevant to us. My "M" is the Montreal Canadiens or Maurice Richard, or both

Z - Zalapski, Zombo, Zmolek etc - The guys at the back of the bus, on the ice were at the back of the bus.
