    As already stated almost..............

(1)Day-26-(2)Year-1939 The first televised major league baseball game ever is shown (3)TEAMS-Dodgers & Reds (4)Network- W2XBS.

****FYI-Red Barber announced the first televised baseball games -- on New York’s WXBS. The Brooklyn Dodgers and the Cincinnati Reds played a doubleheader for the occasion.

what 1)day and 2)year was a first major league baseball game televised and what 3) teams played and what 4) network televised it?

First off I pulled the question from a this day in baseball history...so I would say that this happened on the 25th of August...

here is the answer I was looking for and for the ones that was wondering why I said they got the answer wrong, would it be fair to give you the correct answer if you guess twice or did not put the total complete answer in your first post...

What I am going to do is open it up to the members and see if they agree with me who is the winner of the trivia...

here is the answer I was looking for...
    ON August 25th
1939 - The first major league baseball game was televised as NBC-TV brought their cameras to Brooklyn's Ebbets Field for a doubleheader between the Cincinatti Reds and the Dodgers.

let me know who you think won...

So you are saying the 25th and not the 26th? Every site I went to find info on this says August 26th 1939.

This is an exact quote: 08-26-1939: The first televised major league baseball game ever is shown on W2XBS. Dodgers & Reds split the televised doubleheader. The event was televised over W2XBS, the experimental station that later became WNBC-TV.

This seems to be correct, am I missing something?
