Winding down its football season, Panini has rolled out Crown Royale. It contains a 240-card base set with 100 veterans, 100 rookies and 40 Rookie Silhouettes (jersey autos numbered to 299). Generally, each pack will hold two base and one rookie. Looking for a chase base set to put together? Here is a good candidate as it will be easier and cheaper to buy/trade for the set than to bust boxes as it would take at least 25 to even have a chance, if lucky. And that's not counting the Rookie Silhouettes. The design is basically a rehash of previous years with the crown die cut on top.

Each pack will also have either a parallel or insert. There are six parallel levels, all of which are numbered to 199 or less. There are a couple of insert sets with a gold parallel numbered to 25 for each of them. All of the sets are die cut, which enhances the look.

Finally, you will find 1 autograph or relic in every pack. Boxes state 2 autographs are guaranteed, so expect 2 relics in most of them. There are a multitude of sets with Crown Royale. Along with the traditional jersey and ball swatches, keep your eyes open for laundry tags, Nike swooshes and NFL shields. An added bonus is some of the autographs are on card, especially the Rookie Silhouettes.
