Why you think you are a supercollector:
I believe I am a Supercollector because of my unwavering passion towards my Malhotra collection. I have yet to see a Malhotra collection quite as well rounded as my own. I have put vast amounts of dedication towards my collection, even through his eye injury and tough times; I have been unwavering in my pursuit of the missing cards in my collection. My collection may not contain many of the flashy one-of-ones or superb multi-colour patches of the other Super-Collections, but it does contain the same level of passion and enjoyment in building the collection into what it is today, and what it can be in the future.
Since I began collecting Malhotra in the 2010-2011 season, my theory that a great collection is both quantitative and qualitative, and that patience is the best approach to a long term collection, along with the good will of other collectors, have slowly built my collection to a very special point, where it stops being a collection, and starts being a symbol of my hobby work.
I have found enjoyment in every individual card, whether it be an OPC base card, or a rare parallel numbered to ten or one. As you can see, with the vast majority of Malhotra\'s cards being in the late 90\'s and early 2000\'s, I have more inserts and parallels than I do base cards, which have sometimes come easily, and some have taken years to find. Regardless, each card seems to have a story, long or short, as to how it arrived in my collection.
I’m very proud of what I have accomplished with this collection, and while the statistics are nice, it’s being able to flip through my collection every few days and see the cards that I’ve spent years hunting down and putting together all in one place, and enjoying every little aspect about each different card that makes my collection super in my mind.

Why did you start collecting this player:
In the summer of 2010, Manny signed with my Vancouver Canucks. After years of watching him play in other cities, learning to respect his reputation as a fantastic defensive checking forward, I finally got to see him in full view suiting up in the blue and green. As the season progressed I found myself more and more impressed with his two-way play and ability in the faceoff dot. He was an integral part of a tenacious third line between Raffi Torres and Jannik Hansen. Along with his effective on-ice play, I got a good view at his efforts off the ice, as he spent time thoroughly involved in the community, playing an integral role in different initiatives, as well as being a genuinely good person whenever he interacted with fans. After his eye injury, with his career in question he continued to appear at Canucks practices to inspire the team to win, as they embarked on a magical cup run in the spring of 2011. During the second round, while playing the Nashville Predators, I was at the arena, attempted to meet some of the players (of both teams). As everyone was huddled around the Canucks driveway, I heard someone familiar behind me. I turned around and who would be found standing behind me but a Mr.Manny Malhotra. Apparently, he had been speaking to the team and was waiting for a taxi. He took some time to quietly sign what I had on me and make small talk, as I was just as quiet as he was. Never before or after have I met who has been so humble both on and off the ice, and from that time onward, I have been a huge Malhotra fan, even as he took his career to Carolina in November, 2013.

I would like to thank all that collectors who have assisted me in building my collection to what it is now, I apologize, there are too many to names from across the community and across the globe, most names do escape me, but I’ll always have them in mind, and will return the favours with gestures when I can find the cards to do it with. I wish to someday in the future give back to everyone in the community as they have given to me. My oddball Items include a 98-99 Bowman CHL auto with no “Certified Autograph” stamp and a NYR Line-Up card autographed /3000 given away at MSG during a home game against Nashville in November 1998. My one memorabilia piece is a game-used stick from the 2011-2012 season. I made a special effort to attend the Canucks game against the Hurricanes this past December in order to see Manny live at least one more time. Thank you very much for your support, I hope to continue to expand the PC even further as time goes on!

Love seeing some of the same sets that are huge highlights in my PC also highlighted in other collections - the Quad Diamond RC, the SPx Spectrum, and the MVP Dual Auto are all amazing cards, and favs in my Sedin collection, I don't even think I've seen another SPx Spectrum so it's really cool to see one in your Malhotra PC!

I love sharing this passion with all the great collectors here @Sedinfan (sorry, I don't have your name) those are some of my favourites, the Spectrum cards are impossible to find! I love the depth of your collection especially all the incredible high end stuff, but the rarer oldies are still my favourites of your Sedin Twins PC.
