How do you the erasing where the autograph goes?

I used Gimp photo editor. It's pretty easy I tought myself through YouTube. It's simple once you figure it out. You can do it in photo shop too but I don't know how to use photoshop.

Not from the iPhone App but 2 originals I combined. I did a B.J. Johnson former Texas Longhorn auto. He had a Contenders auto and an Elite RC but no Elite RC auto, so I combined the 2. I think it looks legit.
