I have five White Sox base cards from the 2000 Finest set including two First Year cards of Kip Wells (#228) and Jason Dellaero (#244). The cards feature their 1999 stats at Winston-Salem and Birmingham on the back. The BV of all of these cards is just $2.

Are both of the Berkman GUs on your Trade List still available to trade, and are both in nice shape (sharp corners, clean surface and edges)?

If yes to either or both of them, I would offer all of these additional White Sox cards for the two of them:

    1995 Zenith
    #119 Ray Durham (Rookie) x2
    #121 Scott Ruffcorn (Rookie) x2
    #123 James Baldwin (Rookie) x2

    2003 Pristine
    #16 Frank Thomas (BV4)
    #47 Bartolo Colon x3

    2004 Pristine
    #16 Carlos Lee - Gold Refractor #17/41 (BV12)

    2005 Topps Pristine Legends
    #84 Wilbur Wood

I will also look around for more Magglios for you.

    Thanks, Delton

I totally understand you asking for a little more for the GU cards. Are they both in nice, clean shape?

I will try to turn up some more Sox cards for you. I know I have some more Frank Thomas / White Sox cards. Do you still collect his older cards? If not, I'll keep looking.

Were any Brett Myers or Aaron Rowand Rookie cards pulled? Thanks

  8. #7
No, but it is funny you would ask that. I just won both of those cards over the weekend on eBay. I now have 30 of the 40 RCs (75%) in the 2000 Finest Baseball set.

I also discovered a duplicate of the Chris Wakeland RC (Tigers) which is card #255 in the set. I have added the one that is serial #d 2650/3000 to my Trade List.

Ive been trying to get both of those for a while now but wasnt willing to pay a whole lot for them. How much did you end up paying?

  10. #9
I won them both at the minimum bid of $2.99 each along with a Chris Shelton 2004 Topps Pristine Gold Refractor #/41 - all from the same seller (13jason) and with combined S&H of $3.50. I bid a bit more than I paid for all three cards and was happy to get the Finest rookies for about 1/3 BV.

I already had one of Shelton's Pristine Golds which I had pulled from a box myself and with a current BV of $80, I went ahead and put in a bid to win a second one, which I did for less than $20.

Are you collecting the whole set of 2000 Finest rookies or just those two guys?

I was just looking for those two. Im a big Phillies fan and have been looking to get some of the better rookie cards and not just the regular topps and bowman. If you have any Phillies stuff, rookies, game used, or autos youd like to trade let me know. Thanks
