Bernier is the only reason they came close to making the playoffs last year.

Reimer's save percentage was better post-Olympics compared to Bernier's, so that's an unvalid argument.

A lot of the blame was placed on Reimer in that 7 game loss to Boston .....

By whom? The ever-reliable, blow-everything-out-of-proportion Toronto media?

Despite being a goalie-guy I'm usually quick to blame a team's performance based on their goaltending. However, I watched every game of that series and I would not at any point say that Reimer was to blame. If a team collapses in front of you against a Stanley Cup-calibre team there's little you can do as a goalie.

Despite all of that he managed a .923 save percentage in the Boston series. That's superb for any goalie, especially someone with no NHL playoff experience playing for a team that failed to make the playoffs for the past 7 seasons.

    Better argument:

    Post Olympic stats

    Bernier 4-3-2
    Reimer 2-10-0
