Yea firefighters
pretty good forest fire about a mile away,had large ash falling all around me,was in 10-20 year old fir and they stopped it before it got in to the big stuff or i would of been in trouble

Those wildfires in interface areas are scary. Had one threaten the whole town this summer...and back in '09...and then the '03 fire across the lake...
Google "Okanagan fires" and see where I live. Glad your safe, stay that way.

was nothing like that only a hundred or two acres but its bone dry and they did a great job jumping on it quick and getting air tankers on it
im in the small town to the south,the fire was in between me and the lake

Interface fires used to be really rare here. In the last 15 years, though, they've really shot up, especially in this valley. In fact, I believe incidents of wild/interface fires have shot up. It's scary for sure.
