UD Series One: Finally a goal reached! a Day with the Cup! 1:18,000!!!

I had a day off from work yesterday so I stopped by one of the locals where I buy to bust some more UD Series One. Driving over there I had a thought in my mind, "how great it would be to finally pull a Day with the Cup" card as I had read earlier that day about a board member pulling one. Never thought I would actually do it, plus my thoughts were how great would it be to pull one of Jonathan Quick.

After busting some boxes at local number one, I headed off to local number two to check my weekly ticket in their drawing and ran into Dave T. Watched him open a SPA box and he a great MacKinnon / Jones dual moments auto redemption.

While Dave was busting his box I opened 10 more pack of series one and hit this nice Carey Price. The other two cards were pulled at my first stop.

While at local number one I also hit these cards

    Young Gun canvas

and the second one of these I have pulled from this store. Couldn't pull the actual young gun for my set but hit two canvas cards

    Also hit this patch

And the reason for this thread, GOAL!~ I have always had a two goals in mind regarding hockey cards. I wanted to pull a shield, which I did in National Treasures and then to pull a Day with the Cup. I had never even seen a day with the card in person until yesterday and now it is in my collection.

I knew these were 1:1000 packs but Dave was the one that told me there were 18 different Kings cards so the odds of pulling this one card 1:18000 give or take a few hundred packs

And if anybody cares, here is the shield for my other hockey goal

Funny thing is... everytime you go to buy a box you think about that every time. "Wouldn't it be nice if I pulled xx?' When it happens you think that it was soooo crazy that you thought of pulling that card. You forget about all the times you didn't pull it and focus on the one time you did pull it.

Needless to say though... Absolutely nice pull, man. Very nice breaks. I don't have to bust any S1 cause all the good cards are gone :P
