2 players cut and a third won't play this year pending an appeal....

LeGarrette Blount cut, Ben Tate waived and AP suspended without pay for the remainder of this season.

    Blount first:
Sources tell the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that LeGarrette Blount has been an internal problem for the Steelers for at least a month.
Things appeared to come to a head Monday night as Blount left the field before the game was over, presumably upset with his role (zero touches). Sources told the Post-Gazette that he has been "dragging down" former Cheech and Chong partner Le'Veon Bell, although Bell clearly wasn't feeling down Monday night as he put 33-204-1 on the Titans. Blount, a limited power back on his fourth team in five years, is not a player that can afford to have a bad attitude. Some players are reportedly pushing coach Mike Tomlin to release him. Steelers waived RB LeGarrette Blount.

That didn't take long. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported early Tuesday afternoon that Blount would be disciplined for leaving the field before the conclusion of Monday's win over the Titans, and the Steelers have decided to do so by cutting ties altogether with the insubordinate back. Blount hasn't earned the benefit of the doubt over a career littered with incidents, both big and small. The fact that he was averaging just 4.09 yards per carry behind breakout star Le'Veon Bell was the nail in Blount's Steelers coffin. Blount has proven useful as a power runner in timeshare backfields, but has always been overrated in short-yardage situations, and offers nothing in the passing game. Throw in his constant troublemaking, and you have a back unlikely to draw much interest on the open market, especially with Ben Tate also available. One month shy of his 28th birthday, Blount is running out of time in the league.

    Tate next:
    Browns waived RB Ben Tate.

Tate has been whining about his role after falling behind rookies Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell. He had only two carries in Sunday's loss, and was averaging just 2.15 YPC over his last six games. Tate's two-year free-agent deal from March contained no guaranteed money beyond this season. The Browns will establish a two-back committee going forward, with Crowell sliding ahead of West lately. Tate figures to draw interest from multiple teams, with the Colts a potential fit after losing Ahmad Bradshaw.

    AP last but not least:
The NFL has suspended Adrian Peterson without pay for at least the remainder of this season.

Roger Goodell does not see the nine games Peterson was forced to spend on Commissioner-Exempt list (with pay) as "time served." They are now trying to keep AP off the field via the Personal Conduct policy after he pled "no contest" to misdemeanor assault charges stemming from a discipline incident with his son. Peterson's lawyers and the NFLPA are appealing the suspension right away, but the NFL has really dug its heels in here. Stashers should just sit tight for a few more days as the dust settles even though it's looking bleaker than ever that he'll play this year.

Im not a fan of striking, but maybe thats what the players should do for AP since goodell thinks he can do whatever he wants to do. He is the comissioner, but he is not the one who makes the money he is paid. Thats done by the players. I dont see how he can just make up rules as he goes along. No AP didnt have to use a switch and im not saying he is right, but The NFL is screwing people over left and right. Ray rice was wrong in doing what he did, but he didnt lie about it and he had his punishment set. Is anything on the video nany different from what he told everyone? Cant punish these players twice for the same crime.

So is it for sure that he won't play this year? I mean an appeal still won't give him enough time to appear this year right?

Independent arbitrator Shyam Das has ruled the NFL can keep Adrian Peterson on the exempt list.

Peterson is still appealing his year-ending suspension, but this is a major blow to his odds of suiting up in 2014. Commissioner Roger Goodell is now officially Peterson's judge, jury and executioner, and the NFL has made it quite clear it's not planning to be lenient. If you've been stashing AD in hopes of a late-season return, the odds are now slim enough that he should be let go. Four months shy of his 30th birthday, Peterson is at a career crossroads. It's likely he's played his last snap in Minnesota.

Looks like he is done for the year, maybe. Never say never though.

This is a total joke. Blount especially has been a known troublemaker and whiner but what does he care when he knows he has the ability to contribute to a team and someone will pick him up? All I can say to the likes of him are to grow the hell up!
