Thread: Are these real?

    Are these real?

This guy is selling patches that are all key parts of jerseys and none of them are numbered. Making it even more fishy is that they are all from Fleer. When I looked up the dual Shaq/Yao Patch, Beckett states serial #'d/250. Also, he sold two Jennie Finch Autos (check his feedback), both listed as #419/500, but the autos are different. I could be wrong, but this guy seems like a scammer.

Well, they're some pretty good fakes. It looks like he takes actual game used cards and replaces them with a new patch if they're single color or something. It also seems fishy that all of these "patch" cards are from a defunct company. Not to mention this lil' tidbit from his auction descriptions.

"I am a very trusted person and will now start selling various cards on his ebay account so please disregard my one negative feedback for it does not reflect that Im not a trustworthy person."

    "His" account? Who's he? Hmm.

I think he meant "this" not "his".

The Alexander sold for $42.00. I sent the buyer a warning, so maybe he won't complete the purchase. It sucks to get ripped off!

i hate people who do this, all they do is bring down the hobby.

Remember a few months ago when you could buy the "GU" cards without the GU piece actually in there? (prototypes or something).

That is probably what it is.

I didn't check the auction link, but I do remember a TON of those cards hit eBay as soon as Fleer's stuff was sold.

    Buyer beware.
