    Desert Storm Autographs

    Gen.Colin Powell

Gen.Colin Powell served in the United States Army from 1958–1993.

After leaving the military, he later became the secretary of state under President George W. Bush.

Gen.Powell served in many battles and wars spanning the globe including the Vietnam War, in which he earned a purple heart when he accidentally slipped into a hole that contained punji stakes. His foot was impaled, but he healed and later returned to Vietnam and seen further action there and was injured again, this time in a helicopter crash.

He was awarded a Soldiers Medal for saving lives of fellow soldiers after a helicopter they were in crashed and began to burn. Although injured himself, he removed fellow soldiers from the helicopter including a general, he even had to tear away part of the helicopter. Due to his actions, everyone on the helicopter survived.

Besides serving in Vietnam, he took part in the Invasion of Grenada, Invasion of Panama, Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

People considered awarding him a fifth star, but it was later ruled against. So many people respected him, that some people even wanted him to run for president of the United States, but he believed that he could do more good for the country in his regular life.

    Gen.Charles Horner

Gen.Charles Horner served in the United States Air Force from 1958–1994. He served in Vietnam as a fighter pilot and in Desert Storm as the commander of the U.S. and allied air forces.

Gen.Horner flew many types of airplanes during his career, amassing more than 5,300 flight hours. During one tour alone he flew 41 combat missions over North Vietnam in an F-105. He was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroic bravery for flying in bad weather over Vietnam, while taking enemy ground fire and becoming the first pilot in military history to destroy an operational surface to air missile (SAM) site.

He later flew 70 missions in an F-105 as a Wild Weasel pilot in which he would fly over the jungles of Vietnam purposely trying to attract enemy fire from below, so that soldiers on the ground and bombers in the sky would have a better idea of where the enemy locations were and they would then be able to engage them.
