Image Uploading Contest - Monthly Contest for 2016!!

SCF is holding 12 monthly Image Upload Contests for the SCF Inventory system in 2016. Since September 2011 until December 31, 2015, all members have received 0.5 Card Cash for uploading a valid image in your inventory that we did not have in our master card image library.

Starting January 1st, 2016, this is being increased to 2 Card Cash for uploading a valid image in your inventory that we don't have in our master card image library. Each time a member uploads an image in their inventory, if we do not have one already for this card, we make a copy for the master card image library. But for those, our team validates them first so that we have the correct card image and that it follows the guidelines we set for an image to be included in the master card image library. That means that the image you upload in your inventory will remain there no matter if we validate the copy to be used for the master card image library or not. We've created a public leader board so members can see who has uploaded the most images, images that have not yet been validated and images that have been refused in the validation process. A link on the number of images refused will let you see which images were refused and you can always ask CPalmerfan or myself on why they were refused and we will gladly help you out. For instance we have a minimum size requirement that is if you multiply the width by the height, it needs to be equal or greater than 90,000 pixels (SO 400 X 300 pixels = 12,000 so that passes size-wise). This is what we use for the minimum size in the master card image library and not for your use in just your inventory. To get the 2 CC your image will have to pass validation so make sure to check the Validation tutorial for all of the card image validation requirements.

Contest Details

The top Five members that upload the most valid images will receive prizes:

1st Place: 1 Ticket towards an SCF Group Break to be conducted by Scott for all 12 Monthly winners (will be multi-sports)
2nd Place: 2000 Card Cash Bonus
3rd Place: 1000 Card Cash Bonus
4th Place: 500 Card Cash Bonus
5th Place: 300 Card Cash Bonus

There will 12 separate contests, starting on the 1st of each month, concluding on the last day of the month. For December, this will be from December 1 to December 31, 2016. The contest will start and end at MIDNIGHT EST. I will reset the leader board (paying out our members) on January 1 and the winners will be selected based on the leader board count at 11:59:59 PM EST on December 31, 2016. Payouts for images uploaded WILL NOT be done weekly during the contest periods.

Tutorials for the storefront system can be found here. Members will still receive the 2 Card Cash per valid image uploaded so anyone that participates in this contest will get something. This is open to all members including SCF staff.

Looks great. Will there be any reward for adding teams for cards in the inventory? I've been doing so already, just for the sake of more information, but was just wondering if there would be a small CC payout or something.

Currently, there is nothing imminent in the works for team identification, but it is a possibility in the future.

There is actually some payout at the rate of 1 CC per 10 cards you set the team, via the Set Team link in "My Inventory" right menu section. Mainly this let you select the team via the image of cards you have uploaded a image. But the new owner, Scott will review this later with me to see where we go with teams. Just have not been reviewed like we did with the image uploads. This is the team system that we have since 2012. But the module let you set teams only for the cards you upload a image and the team is not set yet. There still much work on our part to do team wise.

yes and if you upload images then go to Set Team, this is the only place the 1 cc per ten cards is activated. We will review this section eventually.

Good idea, wish I had more cards to add but ive scanned all of mine and Tom sold all his inventory from his shop which he had to close, so I cant borrow any more to scan.

5026 was the number you uploaded the first month of the contest, with CC now being at 2 CC per image (4X more then before 0,5 CC) you would have get over 10,000 CC just that month. Nasty_Boy won the second month with 8728 and the third month yazfan71 won with 6996 valid upload. We were adding over 30,000 images per month with this contest back in 2011.

Note that you have a link for the refused image that member can consult. Pending images are not taken into account for the CC to pay.

Currently we have 596 images pending validation, 3578 images validated and 93 images that failed validation for a grand total of 4267 images.
