Stupid question but I am a bit curious on rule 6:

    6. If you miss a race, you'll be awarded an automatic 44th place finish and 44 points

In previous seasons that makes sense with a 43 car field but this season with the field maximum set at 40 cars (and only 39 cars entered into the Atlanta race), why is missing a week still scored at 44 and not 41 or 40 for a race like today when there were only 39 cars?

thats a solid point-did not think about that. should probably be 40. Ill fix that going forward-just used to doing it with 44.

Standings are updated to reflect 40 points for not playing that week instead of 44. No one correctly picked this weeks winner Brad Keselowski.
