Autograph Database Error (didn't know where else to post this)
So I've come across a problem in the TTM Manager that I hope can be fixed...
When trying to add a new address for a player already existing in the system, a problem pops up. When I try to submit the new address (i.e. a ST address when only the regular season address is listed), I get back a prompt that says:
"Your TTM report was not sent, there is a error in the form.
__________________________________________________ _____________
The next field should have text in it : -
Name - Please select the player last name
Name - Please select the player first name"
Now I know this not to be true because I used the link/button that says "Add A New Address For XXXXX YYYYYY" and I can see the name is already filled in on the form. I also cannot just re-type in the name and try to submit it because the first/last name fields are protected from editing. HOWEVER, I KNOW WHAT CAUSES THE PROBLEM (sort of). This problem occurred when using the browser Mozilla Firefox, but when I did the same thing in a different browser it worked without a problem. So I guess Firefox has something against us from putting in new player addresses...

Are you trying to add the address from the actual player's record in the TTM Manager? Don't use the button at the bottom of the player's page. You will need to click the Add Player button on the left sidebar.

I'm trying to submit a new address from a player already in existence in the database. If I use the add player button you said, it will add another, separate entry for that player which I don't want to do. Plus I only get this error in Firefox, so its a browser issue...

I add updated addresses fairly often when I find a better or new address for a player already in the database. I have always gone the route of Add A Player under the Action Menu (even though the person is already in the TTM database, you have to click Add a Player to add the new address).
The database is smart enough to add the new address to that player's address. I am not sure what your other option is to do other than try my suggestion or wait for the technical people to get back to your question. I had the same exact error you are mentioning when I tried to add the address at the bottom of the players address page.

It is a known browser issue, it happens with chrome, but not IE when you use the method tigsfan described. If you use the method JimCant describes, it circumvents this with any browser

Hmm... I guess I didn't the system credit for that as one of the players I was adding already has two separate entries. I'll give it a try next time then!
