Post pics of your Kobe autographs
In honor of Kobe's retirement, I'd love to:
- hear any Kobe graphing stories (good or bad)
- see any Kobe autographs you have
In his 20 years of playing, I've tried tons of times to get him. I got him once. He was definitely a tough signer.

So the only time I got Kobe in person was in 1997. I won tickets to the Summer League games. I got to sit in the players & coaches section. I randomly ran into Kobe walking in the hallways. I was smart enough to bring his card & a Sharpie. He was pretty cool & this was before he went big time. Never got him since that day, although I ran into him several times randomly & on purpose (i.e. graphing the Lakers).
This is his old school autograph:

I got him, using the "SI embedded in a poster board" trick. Got him off the bus checking into the hotel.

Kobe: Pre-Black Mamba
Back when the Vancouver Grizzlies were still in town and Kobe was still a teenager and would sign everytime you saw him...

I got 1 on a poster but it was folded in half while he was signing it and he only saw his legs. He commented, want the F is this? And only signed KB. I can't seem to find that poster now. Anyhow, I got a good story out of it.
Also got him on a Beckett Magazine with Shaq carrying him, but can't find it anywhere.Last edited by JoLas; 04-16-2016 at 07:47 AM.

I must have missed that one in your thread. The silver looks awesome. I also heard that 3 things give you a better shot at Kobe: a hot chick, a kid, a cheesy poster. Nice job!
That is some serious racking on Kobe. I love the story about the poster. I can totally see Kobe saying that. I also have a "crappy KB" autograph, although I didn't get it myself. I will post a pic. It may be the worst Kobe autograph ever.

I didn't get this myself. I won a team signed ball from Fox Sports West in 2009.
You can barely make out a "K" and the top half of a "B". And he signed on top of another sig!!! Like I said in the previous post, it may be the worst Kobe autograph ever.

Wow that's one of the worst I've ever seen- why he would ruin a team piece for a sweepstakes is beyond me, but I can still see the graph.
Sorry, man!
Lol I wonder if he signed over the other guy or the other guy signed over him. Some scrub just like "oh ima sign over Kobe."

I asked myself the same question a million times. The team signed balls from the Lakers are usually for charities, corporate partners, etc. Well, Kobe is a self-admitted a-hole. That's all I could come up with.
