Joakim Noah and the New York Knicks have agreed to a four-year deal worth $72 million, according to a person with knowledge of the details.

The Knicks filled the center spot that opened when they dealt Robin Lopez to Chicago by turning to the versatile Noah.

The deal was agreed to Friday night, the person told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because deals cannot be signed until July 7.

The 31-year-old free agent center is a New York native who has spent his entire career with the Chicago Bulls and could average $18 million per season.
