    Kronozio - eBay connector

    Hi guys,

Many of you asked us about our eBay connector. You will find all the information here: http://kronocard.com/en/home/#ebay-plan

You can try it for free. This will give you the ability to list 50 cards in 3 clicks on eBay using our software (Kronocard). If you would like to list more cards and make more money we are offering several plans to meet your needs.

    50 cards or 5,000 cards it’s always 3 clicks !

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

    Regards,
    Jonathan

With the latest update, the eBay connector is super easy to use. When I made a mistake, or put something in a field that eBay wouldn't take, I got very clear error messages that helped me fix my listing. Of the 35 cards I have listed on eBay using the connector, 2 sold almost immediately. I like the very clean template for the listings.

One question though, how are the "Product" and "Set" fields put together in the item title on eBay?

For example, this card seems to merge the Year, Product, and Set perfectly:

    http://r.ebay.com/kycZci

    Year: 2002
    Product: Calbee
    Set: 2001 Title Holder

2002 Calbee 2001 Title Holder Tadahito Iguchi Fukuoka Daiei Hawks #T-08

While this one left out the Product field:

    http://r.ebay.com/vzczJ1

    Year: 2000
    Product: Upper Deck Japan
    Set: Oendan Favorites

2000 Oendan Favorites Tuffy Rhodes Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes #OF8

    Instead of

2000 Upper Deck Japan Oendan Favorites Tuffy Rhodes Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes #OF8

If title length is the issue, I would rather see Team removed than Product. Or maybe that could be an option we could set ourselves in Kronocard?

    Hello daclyde1

    Thanks for the kind comments.

You ask a very good question about the eBay title. Here is how we build it automatically:
As you know the title cannot be longer than 80 characters so we had to make choices. Here is what we do until there is no more space left:

    1. We begin with the year, if it’s a hockey or basketball card we add the last two digits of next year (ex: 2016-17)
    2. If there is a set we add it else we add the product.
    3. We add the payer name (or card description)
    4. If it’s a rookie card we add “Rookie”
    5. If it’s an hand signed card we add “Auto”
    6. If it is a memorabilia card we add the content of the memorabilia field
    7. If the card is serial numbered we add that too
    8. If the card is graded with add the grader code and grade
    9. If the team is defined we add it
    10. If there is a card number we add # then the card number
    11. If the field “special” contains data then we add it
    12. We add the product after the year if the set has been added.

That order was suggested to us by an experienced eBay seller.
However I understand different people can have different needs. We are willing to allow some degree of customization. We were already ask to create upper case titles. While I do not like that, we understand it may be important for other people. If for you the product is more important than the team then I think we can add it as an option too. In fact it is easy to do and we will add those options in next release :)

What would be your ideal order ?

As you have it listed now, I would prefer to see the last four as :

    9. We add the product after the year if the set has been added.
    10. If there is a card number we add # then the card number
    11. If the team is defined we add it
    12. If the field “special” contains data then we add it

Thank you for being so flexible!

Guess what ? We just release version 0.9.30 that allows you to select which fields will be used to create the eBay title. You can change the order too and there is an option to create uppercase titles if it is what you wish. Enjoy!
