Why you think you are a supercollector:
I think I am a SuperCollector because I believe I have one, if not the most, complete Enroth collection out there. Believe it or not, there has been a lot of competition for Enroth cards in the last 6 years or so, especially since his rookie cards released in 2009-10. There have been a few hardcore Enroth collectors that I have come across, but the majority of them strictly focused on his rookie cards.

When I started my Enroth collection in 2011, I knew I wanted more than just his rookie cards. Since then I've acquired (to date) almost 200+ Enroth cards, which include a few 1/1's and low-numbered parallel cards as well.

Why did you start collecting this player:
I collect Jhonas Enroth because I really like the way he plays, and the fact that he's one of the more smaller goalies in the NHL. More of a low-key guy, but knows his role and does very well in it. As a smaller goalie myself, along with playing the same starter/backup role in my hockey career and always being the shortest goalie in the entire league, I can relate to his position, as well as appreciate his technical ability as a "undersized" goaltender, and as an athlete overall.

Seeing him get his first NHL win against my Toronto Maple Leafs was a really cool thing to watch, in a shootout no less. I became a big fan of Enroth that day! I just remember being blown away by how well Enroth stood his ground in the net, especially in today's style of NHL hockey. As for his obvious lack of stature in goal compared to some of his peers, even the announcers took notice and commented on it during the game.

Seriously, that is what this hobby is about. And this collection doesn't just represent myself or even the cards themselves, I think it represents what can get done when collectors look after one another, and truly try to make this hobby experience a special one, even if it's just one card at a time :)

10. 09-10 MVP Rookie



This was the card that started it all. Nothing fancy, but it deserves its rightful place in my Top 10!

9. 09-10 UD Young Guns (Graded PSA 10 Gem Mint)


I'm not one for graded cards, but anytime you get the opportunity to add a Gem Mint Young Guns to the collection, you take it. This card was given to me for free by one of SCF's generous members! :)

8. 13-14 ITGU Nameplate 1/1


I fairly recent addition to the collection, which features letter "H" off of Enroth's 08-09 Portland Pirates jersey. It was a pretty significant year for Enroth, as it was his first season playing in North America after being drafted 42nd overall by the Buffalo Sabres.

7. 11-12 BTP Stick and Auto /5


I still remember picking this up at a booth at the 2011 Toronto Expo. Have only seen 1 or 2 copies surface since then. What a great stick piece with that intact Reebok logo!

6. 07-08 SHL Elitset Signatures


This is one of the first SHL cards I had ever come across at the time, still remember losing multiple bidding wars on this card back in the day. One day, I finally brought this card into the collection! What a fun day that was!

5. 09-10 The Cup Rookie Patch Auto /249 + 09-10 SP Authentic FWA /100


I'm including these 2 cards in one spot, since these cards are arguably THE cards to have for any player collector, The Cup RPA /249 & SPA Future Watch Auto Patch /100. Glad i could get 3 colours on each!

4. 07-08 SHL Elitset The Guardians Silver /35


Don't let its print run of 35 fool you, this has been one of the toughest parallels I've come across since I started collecting Enroth in 2011. I've only seen one copy surface since then, and you're looking at it. Also, SHL card designs are really sharp!

3. 12-13 Panini Prime Genuine Letters /6


The first time I heard this card was available, I just knew I had to add it to the PC. What a sweet moment this was!

2. 09-10 UD Ice Premiere's /10


This card is a thing of beauty. So glad I could finally track one down this year, 6 years after its initial release. :)

1. 09-10 The Cup Dual Auto Shields 1/1 Ryan Miller & Jhonas Enroth


You can't have a shield from The Cup and not place it at #1 :) Craig2 and I made a quick deal for this one a while back. It's been a cornerstone of my Enroth PC ever since!

You are totally right. Some of those European SPs are never seen over here. Tomas Hertl has a Czech auto'd card (two versions and only one is numbered), and I have only ever seen two hit EBay. It's hard to even find information on some of the subsets that have been produced.

Kudos on joining the "Elitset" of SCF collectors! Hope to join you in the not-too-distant-future...
