    1979 O-Pee-Chee #18 Wayne Gretzky rookie BVG 8.5

    $9999.00usd

last sale on sheet cut 8.5 was $5kusd.
I compared to psa 8.5 sale at 12K - this one is nicer.

I can look at part trade on high end high grade iconic rookies in all 4 sports:
    i.e.
FB - Jim Brown, Namath, Brady and Manning contenders
BB - Mays, Aaron, Rose, Nolan Ryan
Hky - Howe, Beliveau, Hull, Mikita, Orr etc

photobucket is down. Until I can post pic here see my auctions for details

You talking about this PSA 8.5 that sold for over $10k. I'd be willing to bet its not sheet cut. If it is that is the worst hack job:)

I dont think PSA grades sheet cut cards.

Your copy is really nice. Not sure I go BVG straight across to PSA (and I do think this is the consensus across vintage collectors) but I'm not the grader.
