Shouldn't my streak be at four as I got both of these correct? No worries either way and thanks for the great job you're doing!

I am still figuring that part out. There's a discussion in the other thread about it. Did I get your overall point totals correct (in the pts/month column)? KD did indeed outscore Curry last night.

Hey Ravens, I'm pretty sure that's how it went before. It wasn't a daily streak, but a streak of questions answered correctly. Now, I can't recall if you got the point value for each question, but I do remember that if you started at 0, and got three questions correct, your streak would at least be 3 the next day. I'm sure Andrew would know better then me, but I know there was no chance of me ever getting the answers correct for 15 straight days, ha ha.
It is a Google Docs Spreadsheet that is online. Andrew simply gave me access to the pre-existing spreadsheet that was in use. My understanding is that it is viewable to all, and it certainly isn't just a file on my computer. In fact, it only exists in the cloud as far as I know. The link to the spreadsheet is in the OP (original post), located near the bottom of the post, just above the DA banner. Please let me know if you do/don't find it.

That's not a nitpick, as I'm clearly still trying to figure out the scoring, making that a very fair question. Every time I think I get it, I encounter a scenario that makes me think that I don't.

Here WAS my understanding and how I've proceeded thus far: there appears to be two contests in one here. On one hand, everyone accumulates RP in an ongoing manner that is paid out at the end of each month. This RP accumulation has nothing to do with any streaks, it is simply a payout for answering questions correctly. This is what the "PTS/Month" column in the spreadsheet reflects. Points in this sense are accumulated for every correct question answered, regardless if you had an incorrect question on the same day. In essence, you are getting rewarded for every question you get right according to that question's point total (1, 2, or 3 points).
The second element of the contest is the streak element, whereby your streak is intact so long as you do not answer any questions incorrectly on a given day. My previous understanding was that one day's worth of questions, regardless as to whether you answered one or three questions correctly, amounts in your streak going up by a factor of "1", with that "1" being a reflection of "one more day added to your streak" kind of a thing, and again, that is there if you answer one, two, or three questions. What you are proposing is that if you answer, for example, two questions correctly, your streak goes up by a factor of "2" rather than "1", reflecting the number of questions answered correctly and not the number of days the streak has been intact. What you are saying is that a streak can go up 1, 2, or 3 depending on how many questions were answered correctly. This seems like a simple clarification based on how the scoring was conducted previously. It's possible I have interpreted the scoring incorrectly.

In general, is it fair to say that on any given night, you have a judgment to make as to whether you want to answer fewer questions to increase the chances of keeping your streak intact, or answering more questions to accumulate more overall RPs?

Still trying to figure this out apparently! Seems like these are just the details now though.

Ok, that makes sense and I think I get it even better now. I will need to further update the scoring spreadsheet then. Some of you who only got a credit of "1" should have gotten more.

That is correct- your streak has the ability to go up by more than 1 each day. If you get two 3 point questions right one night, your streak would go up 6!

Unfortunately, GamerRoy and bbcardzman, those guesses came well after the deadline (over an hour in both cases) and will not count. I will aim to start getting the questions up closer to 24 hours beforehand and take partial responsibility for yesterday's rushed schedule. In the same light, I will not include the afternoon games from today for today's questions, just to give people more time to respond before this evening.

Questions for Saturday, February 11th, 2017:

    - You may answer 3 questions maximum
    - You may answer no more than 2 questions per level
    - Good luck!

    LEVEL 1 (1 point each):
    a) NHL: Who will win: Colorado Avalanche at New York Rangers?
    b)
NBA: Will James Harden score at least 30 points tonight at home to the Phoenix Suns?
    c) NBA: Who will win: Milwaukee Bucks at Indiana Pacers?

    LEVEL 2 (2 points each):
    d) NHL: Who will win: Buffalo Sabres at Toronto Maple Leafs?
    e) NHL: Will the Pittsburgh Penguins win by AT LEAST a two-goal margin tonight vs. Arizona Coyotes?
    f)
NHL: Will Nicklas Backstrom record at least one assist tonight for the Washington Capitals, who are at home to the Anaheim Ducks?

    LEVEL 3 (3 points each):

    g)
NBA: Will Russell Westbrook score a triple-double tonight against the Warriors?
    h) NHL: Who will have more points tonight, Jack Eichel or Auston Matthews? (a tie results in a "push")
    i) NBA: Who will win: Boston Celtics at Utah Jazz?

I'll be taking the c - pacers win, d - maple leafs win and I - Utah Jazz win
