Jagr turned 45 Wednesday. But at an age when most players of his caliber would have been enjoying retirement and induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame, Jagr will spend his birthday trying to help the Florida Panthers defeat the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center (10:30 p.m. ET; NBCSN, NHL.TV). He really is incredible. That time he spent in the KHL I think rejuvenated him. Just imagine if he didn't spend those three years there.

He's 45, still in insane shape, and still playing at a high level. I can see him reaching 50.

If he does make it to 50, and of course I do hope so. I hope he winds up with at least 2168 points.... That is at least my projection.

Anyone here think he might try and take on Gordie, and go to 53?
