    ECC hockey player facing charges after attacking ref

    Dakota College at Bottineau won Sunday’s NJCAA national title game against Erie Community College, but the game came to an unexpected end after a violent outburst from an Erie player.

    Late in the third period, freshman Brandon Day stormed out of the penalty box and went straight for an official, leveling the referee hard to the ice.

    ECC is a Buffalo school, my dad played there. Pretty embarrassing PR for them with that bonehead move. Combine that with the junk Andrew Peters pulled over the weekend and Buffalo hockey isn't getting a good rep.

    Wow!! Thats just carzy.. he will get hit hard for his actions.. Not sure what Peters did but i will have to check that out as well. I just watched the Peters incident. All i can say is Wow!! What a meat head!! I hope he has some money saved for his upcoming lawsuit..

    Just saw a report on Peters. Surprised that he will not face charges.

    On the Peters issue, the parents of the kid he went after did not want to press charges, which is why that isn't happening.

    just watched the video, and i'm surprised they dont suspend the kid who attacked the player on the bench. what a little jerk. he got "pushed" away by the coach thats all. no way should he have been anywhere near the bench. he instigated, then skated like away pretty quick. coach just happens to be Peters, i guess his folks realized their little "precious" was in the wrong and said lets just forget it. if Buffalo hockey took a nosedive here it was because of the kids not the coach. of course the video doesnt show what precipatated all this
