Has anybody else noticed how many triple doubles Russell Westbrook is having this season?

    http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/1...-double-season

With 33 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists against the Utah Jazz in a 112-104 Thunder win Saturday, Russell Westbrook recorded his 32nd triple-double of the 2016-17 campaign, passing Wilt Chamberlain for the second-most in an NBA season.

Next up, and last up, for Westbrook: Oscar Robertson, who had 41 triple-doubles in the 1961-62 season. Westbrook has 16 games to reach nine triple-doubles and catch Robertson. What previously seemed to be an unbreakable record -- along the lines of Joe DiMaggio's 56-hit streak -- is within Westbrook's sights.

Wasn't aware of how many, but definitely aware that he's been averaging one for quite some time -- it's all over the news.

Very happy for Russ, at any rate. Have always loved his heart, energy, and dedication. While it may be easier in today's NBA to get a triple double due to analytics and the hand check rule (different defensive approaches), it's still an amazing feat. If it weren't, others would also be getting triple double averages this season.
