38th National eNews-VIP Party Free Autograph Guests Announced
FREE AUTOGRAPH GUESTS FOR TOPPS VIP PARTY ANNOUNCED!

The annual VIP Party has traditionally kicked off the National Sports Collectors Convention with some great free autograph guests. And 2017 will be no exception! The event, hosted by Topps, is open to all attendees who have purchased any of the VIP Packages for the National. In addition to light refreshments and giveaways, attendees will have the opportunity to receive autographs from three great guests.

Joining us from basketball is NBA Hall of Famer Nate "Tiny" Archibald. Archibald played in the NBA with the Royals, Kings and Boston Celtics. Tiny was a 6-time All Star (winning the NBA All Star MVP in 1981) and is a member of the NBA's 50th Anniversary team. He was a member of the 1981 Boston Celtics World Championship team and was named to the NBA Hall of Fame in 1991 and inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.


Jose Canseco burst upon the baseball scene in 1986 winning AL Rookie of the Year honors hitting 33 homers and driving in 117 runs. Canseco had a 17 year career in which he was a 6-time All Star, 1988 AL MVP, 2-time World Series Champion and hit 462 career homers. Jose has written several books discussing the use of steroids in baseball. Following his baseball career, Canseco has been active in celebrity events on TV, appearing on the Celebrity Apprentice, The Surreal Life and other reality shows. He has dabbled in MMA events and in boxing.

The final free signer at the Topps VIP Party will be former NHL Great Ron Duguay. Duguay had a 22 year NHL career playing for the NY Rangers, Detroit Red Wings as well as the LA Kings and Pittsburgh Penguins. The number 13 overall pick in the 1977 NHL Draft, Duguay played in 864 games garnering 274 goals and 346 assists. Since 2007 Duguay has been an analyst for NY Ranger games and appears on the weekly Hockey Night Live TV program.

The Topps VIP Party will be held at 2:30-4:00 PM on July 26, 2017. The three free autograph signers will be signing from 3-4 at the Party. Details will be sent to all attendees who purchase a VIP Package for the event.

In addition, all three players will be signing at the 38th National Sneak Peek which opens to the public at 4:00 PM on July 26. VIP's will be admitted at 3:30 PM

TOPPS ANNOUNCES 2017 NATIONAL VIP PROMO SET DETAILS!

The Topps VIP Promo Set for 2017 has that 30-year-old Retro Feel! Topps will utilize one of the most famous card designs of the last 50 years - the wood bordered design that is widely recognized by longtime collectors and non collectors alike. KIDS INVITED TO BUILD THEIR OWN LEGO MINIFIGURE AT THE NATIONAL!
LIMITED EDITION LEGO VITRUVIUS MINIFIGURE GIVEAWAY SPONSORED BY NEVER ENOUGH CARDS

Never Enough Cards/Sports Evolution Marketing invites all youngsters 12 and under at the 38th National to build a free minifigure at the Show. Thursday-Sunday from 10AM-12PM, kids can create their own personal Lego Minifigure by selecting the torso, head, legs, accessories, hair, hat and more from thousands of Lego pieces. Once the figure is completed, a Lego display magnet will be provided to allow the creator to show off the minifigure. Each child is limited to one minifigure during the 5-day event.

In addition, long time National Exhibitor Lisa Stellato is distributing 100 Limited Edition Lego Vitruvius minfigures each day to the first 100 attendees to visit the company's booth #948-949-951. These figures will go quickly so make sure to visit the Booth as early as possible.

Leonard Fournette and Lonzo Ball Headline Panini America’s 2017 National VIP Cards
Panini America officials today unveiled details surrounding 10 special cards that will be distributed to registered show VIPs in late July in Chicago at the 2017 National Sports Collectors Convention. The cards will be distributed through a coupon inserted into each of the show’s VIP packages; the coupon must be presented at the Panini America booth.

Featured among this year’s VIP cards are NFL Rookie Cards of Mitch Trubisky, Christian McCaffrey, DeShaun Watson and Leonard Fournette, young baseball stars Yoan Moncada, Andrew Benintendi, Dansby Swanson and Alex Bregman, and top 2017 NBA Draft picks Lonzo Ball and Jayson Tatum. UPPER DECK ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR 2017 NATIONAL SPORTS COLLECTORS CONVENTION

Upper Deck has some incredible programs in store for collectors at the 2017 National Sports Collectors Convention. You don’t need to break the bank to have fun with Upper Deck at the National however. The company will have a variety of cool activations throughout the show to give back to collectors and show some hobby love that are available for FREE!

Friday Upper Deck will run the company’s Random Acts of Kindness Scavenger Hunt with 25 prize envelopes hidden throughout the hall. Saturday at 3:00 make your way to the Mike Berkus Main Stage where Upper Deck will co-host with GTS Distribution a collation game in a bracket-style format. 16 competitors will face off to put sets together in numerical order as quickly as possible. There will be prizes distributed throughout the game, but the grand prize winner will score a Wayne Gretzky Upper Deck Authenticated signed poster.
