I've been spending a lot more time looking at Blues cards the past couple of years, first due to the pickup of Paul Stastny (took a while to get used to it) and then to the stellar play of Jake Allen. This is his opportunity to shine and a good year for the Blues to make it out top of the West.

I don't want to take anything away from Jake Allen, he has been rock solid. With that said, the Wild's chances have been pretty low quality, especially in comparison to the odd-man rushes and uncontested shots the Blues are generating. I don't think the shot total alone tells the whole story.

And the upset of the Wild is complete. Devan Dubnyk's stellar season wasted on a first-round exit. Congrats to the Blues for a stellar series!

What a stressful game! Stastny was surprisingly effective in his return. Sobotka paid off again. Got a kick out of that new Gatorade commercial with Kane scoring a GWG against the Blues... you wish!

We were able to score on all of our quality chances this series, kind of the opposite of years past where we just couldn't finish but had plenty of chances.

It's a relief to have that one over with! Next.
