Hi I am the Baldones
Been Bald since I was 17ish. I loved all sports and was very good as in 1st Team All Stars in most. But it was the team I loved. You win as one and lose as one. I was usually captain, but that meant nothing until College. There I was never captain but batted 3rd or 4th and lead with my play. Then had this girlfriend and she let me do everything. Gamble, Play softball come home at 4 : 00 am traveled to all the sporting events I wanted, W Series, Super Bowls, Final 4's Stanley Cup finals Indy, Daytona and more. I have no bucket list. Had a Temporary Partial Artificial Heart installed in 1991 - 1994 Had a heart Transplant 09-01-2014, was in liver failure for a couple days, am now on dialysis 4 days a week 5 hours a day. Since 2010 besides those items, I had Salmonella Poisoning, 6 bouts with Congestive Heart Failure, I get a Biopsy Done through my Jugular twice a Month, and a battery of tests @ the Cleveland Clinic. Many other small items to many to list. I drive from Buffalo to Cleveland 4 + hours every time and have made a few Journeys by ambulance there. The wife or my driver drive home because of the sedation medicine still in me. Now just two weeks ago I was in the Hospital because of the Flu. No Immune System in my Body. So anyways because my son was born healthy I Joined Make A Wish. Now I am involved with the Matthew Foster Foundation, as we help assist families that have a child with CANCER. Look us up on line.
So what I do for them is acquire items we can auction them off. I met this guy through TTM, in Michigan, and he sent me like 50 autographed sports illustrated Covers. I bought frames and we sell them at our Gala and Golf Tourneys. I sent him a tax write off form, but that is not why he did it. He has a HUGE HEART. Later on a guy gave me a box of 1993 and 1994 Trading Cards. So I asked him, he lives in Michigan so I sent him all the players I had of the Cubs, White Sox and Tigers. He couldn't believe it. There were a ton...
So I do this for charity. I buy the baseballs, photos, top loaders and so on at my cost. Plus all the mailing costs. Then donate them. I usually send two of everything an keep one for my self. Sometimes i ask if I can send more and sometimes they reply yes. So I love this site.
