    Question on Printing Plates

    I got a plate today in the mail and i noticed what looks like coffee stains. Any way of removing the stains without damaging the plate? Thank you

    Is it a coffee stain or the printing plate just have ink on it from when it was used to print cards?

    I believe it is coffee stains. I have a lot of plates and this is the first time i have seen this. It is a Cyan plate

    I've seen plates with that kind of marking on it before. I think it's normal.

    Here is the plate. Notice the spots on the helmet on the Hawk logo, left shoulder, right elbow, and the 2 spots next to the knee20170419_201436.jpg

    Hmm...ok. That might be coffee..lol. Probably wouldn't hurt the plate to wipe it with a damp cloth. As long as you don't rub it with something that would scratch...

    Crzy4phins..... It worked! Cold water and light rubbing, removed the stains. The coffee did penetrate the ink a little, but it's all good, not really noticable at all. Thank you for your help
