Caleb Brantley is arrested for knocking out a woman out after she 'disrespected him'

Caleb Brantley, a defensive lineman who attended the University of Florida, faces a misdemeanor battery charge, according to a police report obtained by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Police in Gainesville, Florida, say that Brantley hit his alleged victim, 20-year-old Chelsea Austin, in the face and that 'use of force was clearly out of retaliation and not self-defense.'

Brantley, 22, told police that Austin hit him in the face first. Austin confirmed to police that she did strike Brantley initially, according to WTSP-TV.

Austin told police that she hit Brantley after the former Florida defensive lineman 'disrespected her.'

Police then say that Brantley pushed Austin away. At one point, he allegedly punched her in the face.

Brantley had apparently hit Austin with force that 'far exceeded what was reasonable or necessary' during an argument that took place just outside the Copper Monkey in Gainesville.

Austin suffered a displaced tooth and will require a root canal, according to Deadspin.

Same thing happened with Mixon. He was assaulted first, albeit, not enough to hurt him, but that is still assault. Brantley just cost himself millions by doing this before the draft.

Yeah, I'm sure that when she hit him it really hurt, he's a thug and knocked her out. Love to see the headlines and marches when a white player does this to a black woman, but since it's the other way around it's just a misdemeanor assault.
